...has been to the hospital 3 times in the past three and a half weeks-one time being while we were down at Lake Powell. 2 of the times because the kidney stone he got in Switzerland decided to let him know it had never really passed and the 3rd time for multiple blood clots in both of his lungs. Unfortunately, he was admitted for the last of the visits and since they have no idea what caused the blood clots Pete won a life-long ticket on blood thinners. We really are VERY lucky to still have him with us since many people are killed when blood clots travel to the lungs. We wanted to thank everyone for all the love, support, and concern we were shown over the past week-we really appreciate it.

Sigh. Is there no end?! So glad that Pete is okay. Wishing you many many years without any more visits to the hospital!
So scary! I am glad he is doing better. Not fun to be on blood thinners forever though. Maybe they will figure out what caused the clots eventually. I agree with Amy, I think you have had your share of hospital visits for a while.
We aren't going to be back to Utah until right before Christmas. I wish it were sooner!
scary. i remember he had a blood clot a couple years ago, too. so glad doctor's found & treated in time!
take care.
man - seriously? your family motto of "we can do hard things" is way too true!!!! enough of the medical things....i am really glad he is ok too! call me to chat about shower!
whoa I had no idea any of this was going on. I'm glad you have family there! If something like this happened to us I would have to live on the phone. Blood thinners for life is way better than the alternative....that's putting it mildly I guess.
And you poor wife! What a crazy few weeks! Hopefully things die down and the drama subsides. Hope Pete is feeling better. Lucky for him his wife is a real life nurse:). We're thinking of you--
wow. that almost made me a little teary. poor pete! i'm so glad he's okay now.
poor pete. poor you!!! I think it has something to do with all the DP intake:) Hope you are all feeling better.
Holy cow Anne! That is crazy!! You are amazing though. Seriously. You are always so positive and you always stay so thoughtful to others. I sincerely admire you so much. That is truly crazy about the blood clots! Where are they coming from?!! So weird. At least he has the meds now to know how to take care of it. We'll be thinking of you guys. And seriously...you are amazing. :)
I am so sorry you guys i am SO glad he is okay.. I hope all is well now...
Wow how intense! I am glad everything is okay now. That picture of your boys is so cute. I wonder where ryan got his smile :)
Yikes. What a scary thing to happen. Glad that everything is okay and you found out when you did.
SAD!! Okay so I have to admit that the nurse in me read that and immediately started diagnosing him. :) Odd that they all made it to his lungs, and no PFO? I hope he can avoid the hospital for a good long while!
Oh how awful for you guys...I can't imagine the anxiety and stress and worry you must have all gone through. I am so glad things are better. Just looking at this pic of Ryan and your hubby is so hopeful...they seem so happy even during such a scary time. I'm glad all is now well.
gosh anne- I am so glad he is doing better- Thank goodness they caught it when they did,Good luck with everything girl-you are so awesome with such a great attitude!!
Poor Pete! I am so sorry! What a bummer! We hope you are on the mend and feeling better! You are in our prayers! :)
