waiting

I am not good at the waiting game, or the unknown future game, or the being patient game, and yet somehow I find myself in a high stakes competition with all three of these. All of Pete's law school applications are in and now we are just waiting... It could be months before we know where we will be in the fall. It is hard for a control freak, like myself, to let everything go and trust it will all work out how it should. I need to just take a deep breath and hopefully this nervous/excited anxiety I am constantly experiencing will go away for a bit.

Oh girl I totally know EXACTLY what you are going through! And it is SO not fun. This was Eli's 2nd time applying for med school and the first time was seriously TORTURE!! We waited from the end of August until April to find out that he was waitlisted at a school. Then we waited from April until August to see if he got accepted from the waitlist. And he didn't, and I was way bummed. So he went with plan B which was his MPH. And then we had to go through all of it again and kept wondering if he had done enough this time to get accepted. Thankfully he did and we didn't have to wait as long, until November I think. Phew!

It is so hard because your lives are in someone else's hands and that is such a hard thing to just be relaxed about. And you want to just go to the admissions committee and tell them what a great applicant your husband is!!!! But whatever happens with you guys will happen for a reason! Just keep taking deep breaths and hope for the best!!

P.S. Thanks for hosting the cohort get together. We had a blast! And Tanner loved playing with Ryan and the kitty. You guys are just so awesome!!!

I know that is seriously the hardest part. LSAT, applications and everything is stressful, but nothing compares to the waiting game. Hang in there! I hope he applied to U of Arizona. And if he did I will pray real hard he gets in so you can come live by me next year.

Oh lady...I have really good intentions of calling you to catch up and just never get to it! I will recommit myself! Good luck with the waiting game. At least it's out of your hands now! Just think, in a few months you'll be settled for 3 years:). Let's catch up soon!

I am sure Pete will get in lots of places and you will have your pick (which will be amazing). Good luck, I am excited to see where you guys end up! And CONGRATULATIONS, this is so exciting!

Oh, Anne. Isn't it awful to not be in control! I suppose you just have to try to embrace the adventurous side that doesn't mind not knowing everything! We are anxious to hear the news with you!
