Today was one of those days...

...that I never should have gotten out of bed- I somehow was given a large dose of bad luck sometime during the night. I managed to spill contaminated blood all over myself and a machine at work, experienced my first complete code (the pt stopped breathing and had no pulse) and watched someone perform CPR while I got to deal with the paramedics-it was much more traumatic than it sounds esp because the pt didn't make it. Then I stuck myself with a dirty needle and got to spend the next two hours at WorkMed waiting to get my blood drawn. Afterwards, I had to go back to work to attend a meeting and finish up a lot of charting. To top it all off I never got a lunch break. I was very grateful when I finally got in my car to drive home an hour and a half after my shift actually ended:)

Oh Anne that sounds really bad. I can't believe all that happened in one day. Are you ok? I am so sorry.

That is almost too horrible to be true. Since I'm a nurse friend, I have to tell you something that happened to me. I was trying to put an NG tube down a guys nose/throat and he coughed and spit blood in my face. He had Hep C so I had to do some paperwork and labs. Luckily, I haven't contracted Hep C yet. But, your story is way worse! I hope you never have to go through that again!

anne, i'm sorry. that sounds like my worst nightmare at work. my go-to advice for melissa (that she never takes) is quit. i don't know where to tell you to go that would be as flexible, but man. my life has been so much better since i just quit (or was forced to quit, thanks to a constant bp of 60/90:)

Ugh, ugh, ugh! What a horrible day! Kind of makes you never want to go back to work, doesn't it! I hope you treated yourself to a warm bubble bath or some delicious hot chocolate to end it on a better note.

All in a days work! Sounds like a doosy. I've had some bad shifts, but your day may take the cake. Just remember your next shift probably won't be that bad again. Happy New Year!

Good day, sun shines!
There have been times of hardship when I felt unhappy missing knowledge about opportunities of getting high yields on investments. I was a dump and downright pessimistic person.
I have never imagined that there weren't any need in big starting capital.
Now, I feel good, I begin to get real income.
It gets down to choose a correct companion who utilizes your money in a right way - that is incorporate it in real deals, parts and divides the profit with me.

You can ask, if there are such firms? I have to answer the truth, YES, there are. Please get to know about one of them:

Oh ANne! I am so sorry! What a terrible day! I don't think I've had all those things happen on the SAME DAY!! Too much! But at least from the sound of all your nursing friends...we've all had one of those things! And we understand those days! Hopefully you were blessed with a happy experience sometime later in the week...maybe to balance it all out! So sorry!

This might seem strange, but hearing your story makes me miss nursing. I haven't worked in 3 years and I definitely miss it. I feel for you though...those days are hard to recover from. Nothing is more stressful than someone coding on you. Hope you were able to relax and unwind after you finally made it home.
