I have fallen in love....

... with running in the freezing cold. I always looked at the people who ran when it was 20 degrees and thought they were crazy and now I have become one of those crazies:) Usually when the cold weather comes I just run on the treadmill-which I kind of hate-but this year I invested in some real running clothes and I can't believe how much I LOVE running outside in the cold. I am sure the people I pass probably wonder why I have the biggest cheesy grin on my face, but I don't care, I am enjoying looking psycho. I just wish I could warm up after I come inside....

i love it to - or used to...i am too scared to run in this city outside during the hours it would be possible, and too lazy to get the treadmill out and actually get on it!! (doesn't help i have had headaches and nausea now for 1 month - with no apparent reason why or solution at this point!) anyways - yes, sad we didn't get to catch up more....call me sometime when you are free - we are home most days now!

I don't necessarily LOVE it, but I don't mind running in the freezing cold. As long as you are dressed, you really stay fairly warm and the cold air can feel fresh and nice. I'm glad you brave it and love it!

Yay! I love it, too. My trick--jolly ranchers or life savers on stand-by. Helps with coating my throat and breathing. Good for you!

Any tips for brand new runners? I want to run a half marathon in June...but I've never been a runner :)
